Disabled Children's Association Visit
The fourth-year occupational therapy students visited the Disabled Children's Association at the King Fahd Center in Riyadh on 20/02/2020.
To observe and learn more about the various meaningful services that the center provides for Children with physical and mental disabilities or children with developmental delay. The visit was part of the Assistive Technology course’s activities. During the visit, the students explored many units with guidance from therapists in the Association. They were introduced to the assistive technology provided in the Association such as the powered wheelchair, crafted chair that can make the child join his family while sitting around a table or in the floor, and different modified assistive technology. The students showed a good interest in the crafted work and hence visited the workshop to observe the materials and how the modifications of the assistive devices are made in the Association.
