Community Nutrition Practicum Event
On Monday May 15, 2017, Clinical Nutrition batch one students designed and implemented an awareness day. It was held at the clinics at Iskan Yarmouk as part of the community nutrition field experience course.
The activity carried several nutritional topics such as healthy nutrition for infancy and school age children, the importance of water consumption and ways to reduce dehydration, and the major vitamins and minerals, their sources, and their functions in the body. The activity was conducted under the supervision of Ms Hadeel Alajmi, a dietician in the clinics at Iskan Yarmouk. The students did a great work, and they used creative ideas and demonstrations to deliver the nutritional messages to the audience.
