7th International Saudi Critical Care Society Conference 2016
The students club in College of Applied Medical Sciences (Male and Female) has participated in the 7th International Critical Care Conference which is organized by the Saudi Society for Critical Care. The conference took place at Burj Rafal Kempinski hotel in Riyadh from 17 April 2016 to 21 April 2016.
During the conference, which is attended by experts and doctors specialized in critical care and several medical organizations, College of Applied Medical Sciences has been certified as an official supporter to the International Critical Care Conference due to its third participation in a row. Dr. Farhan Al Enezi, the Associate Dean for Academic & Student Affairs and the Chairman for Respiratory Therapy Program was one of the speakers in the conference. Volunteer students from our college have organized attendance for workshops prior to the conference as well as helping in organizing the attendance and scheduling for the national and international speakers.
Mr. Saad Al Shiban, a Respiratory Therapy student, has participated in the practical work for the ultrasound lecture with one of the international speakers in the conference. College of Applied Medical Sciences corner in the conference was visited by the vice minister of Ministry of Health Mr. Hamad Al Dhwyla and he listened to a briefing about the college and its accomplishments as well as students’ researches. In addition, Mr. Amar Al Asqah has presented a workshop on Medical Simulation during the conference. At the end, our college was rewarded by Colonel Dr. Yasser Mandorah, president of Saudi Society for Critical Care.
The reward was received by Mr. Ali Al Amri, the college representative.Dr. Ameen Yousef, the president of the organizational committee for the conference and member of the Saudi Society for Critical Care board has thanked the college for the effort and vital role in the conference.
