Health Professions Conference 2016
Students Club of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Male branch has conducted Health Professions Conference on 28th of January 2016 at the Large Auditorium, COAMS. The conference had more than 28 speakers and more than 20 lectures and workshops covering all of the COAMS' Programs. The conference was arranged to cover the most current and sensitive subjects in each program for helping the students in their future career and education starting from breaking barriers workshop through summer training, volunteering, and conducting scientific researches for all programs, ending with higher education for each program.
There was a disaster management workshop which was led by Dr. Sami Yousef, Dr. Nawfal Aljerian, Dr. Yasser Alaska, and Ms. Deepa Ramesh; arranged for a fire shooting disaster scenario. There were more than 20 EMS students who participated in it as actors. And the make-up team was led by the moulage Artist Mr. Ammar Alaska and he made the trauma moulage on the student’s bodies to be as victims. After that Code Black was announced by the overhead speaker in COAMS building and when they finished, Dr. Sami Yousef gave a debriefing about the disaster.
Moreover, the program had more than 300 participants from over 5 different universities in the country.
