College of Applied Medical Sciences Second Career Day
Under the auspices of his Excellency Dr. Bandar Al Knawy, President of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences and CEO of National Guard Health Affairs, the Second Career Day at the College of Applied Medical Sciences was opened by Prof. Youssef Al Eissa Vice President, Educational Affairs on Wednesday, 01 May 2013.
The goals of this event were to enlighten the students and new graduates on the job opportunities and opportunities for admission to medical programs inside and outside Saudi Arabia, provide an overview of the various disciplines available, and bring about an awareness of many issues essential to the success of the practitioner on a personal and a professional platform before and after graduation as well as enhance the skills and abilities needed to achieve this. There was a wonderful attendance of students and people interested in various health sectors in Riyadh.
There was a variety of programs at the Second Career Day including a display about the College's academic activities, awareness and programs for the employment destinations. Also, some lectures were held, which were of interest to graduates and dealt on issues such as CV writing, how to prepare for job interviews and the tips to be successful in them. The steps to be taken to prepare for the external scholarship were also covered in the lectures. The event provided an opportunity for representatives from employment sectors to meet the students through the exhibition and display functional features available to those entities.
Dr. Abdullah Al Anazi Dean, College of Applied Medical Sciences conveyed his thanks and appreciation to the university administration for their support to this event and acknowledged that the event has now become a prestigious yearly tradition for the college. He also praised the efforts of the college's academic and administrative staff for their efforts in organizing this event and ensuring its success.
