College of Applied Medical Sciences obtained membership of (ASAHP)

 Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions

College of Applied Medical Sciences (CAMS) at King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences has gained membership of the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions (ASAHP), which makes it the first Saudi college to join this American association.

Dr. Abdullah Al Anazi, the college’s dean highlighted the importance of this scientific partnership with this prestigious association due to its importance for the College of Applied Medical Sciences students and faculty members as well. This provides a real scientific contact opportunity with members of the association with high degree of qualification, experience and knowledge

Dr. Alanazi explained that the American Association was founded in 1967 through the efforts of a number of deans of faculties of applied medical sciences in order to meet the increasing need for specialists and workers in the health sciences. The aim of the prestigious Association is to support health education specialists by working to provide quality advanced education, support partnership and cooperation to strengthen scientific research, support scholarship programs and the development of academic leaders, as well as promote health communication science.

The Assembly issued a number of relevant publications in the health aspect, and provides advice in the areas of health legislation, retirement and education, as well as interest in scientific research providing documented scientific sources.
