Backpack Awareness Day 2019
In March 14, 2019, The Occupational Therapy Department at KSAU-HS had participated on the International awareness about Backpack to raise awareness among school kids about proper way of handling backpacks.
Host schools were:Saad bin Kharjah elementary school for Male and Jamilah bint Alharth school for Female. The aim of the backpack awareness day was to raise the awareness of (students, parents, and teachers) regarding the right weight of the student's backpack and how to correctly wear the backpack. The occupational therapy students began by illustrating specifications of a proper bag; steps to wear correctly wear the backpacks, how to arrange school supplies correctly, and provided brochures to students and their teachers. The event was highly appreciated by the schools teachers, students and parents.
