Clinical Laboratory Science Program (CLAB) Participation in the MedLab Expo
The CLAB department, led by Dr. Hassan Alamri with the contribution of the CLAB faculty, students and the student affairs of College of Applied Medical Sciences, helped in the organization of the MedLab Expo (19 to 21 November, 2018)
under the sponsorship of Ministry of Health represented by the Vice Minister of Health, Hamad bin Muhammad Al-Duweila. The Saudi Med Lab Expo brought together leading laboratory experts, scientists, and clinical researchers to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of laboratory medicine and clinical research. The event attracted more than 30 biomedical companies and organizations with active participation of more than 100 speakers and registered more than 5000 participants. Dr. Waleed Al Tamimi, Associate Professor, Clinical Chemistry, delivered a lecture about the importance of independent/third party internal quality control in laboratory accreditation and the factors influencing quality of laboratory results. Dr. Al Tamimi presented his talk at the Saudi International MedLab Expo 2019. Many clinical laboratory specialists and students from different regions across the Kingdom attended his talk and participated in the discussion.
