Ms. Ihssan Abdelrahman
Profile:
Ihssan Hassan Abdulrahman is a lecturer at the Clinical Nutrition Program/ College of Applied Medical Sciences since 2018. She obtained a Master's degree in Human Nutrition from Ahfad University / Sudan in 2007. She has been teaching in several universities in Sudan and Saudi Arabia, and worked as a visiting lecturer at the University of Ohio, USA. In addition to her distinguished academic experience, Ihssan has experience in the clinical field as a dietitian in many hospitals such as King Khalid University Hospital and the Kingdom Hospital. In the field of research and training, she served as training and research specialist at the Academy of Educational Development (AED) in the United States of America, where she established and implemented the community-based management of acute malnutrition program (CMAM) in Sudan and Ghana. In her pursuit of academic skills excellence, Ihssan has received a number of training programs from universities and international organizations such as the University of Maastricht / Netherlands, the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF on several topics related to food science, nutrition and problem-based education. During her career, Ihssan participated in voluntary work such as evaluating the school feeding programs- Fairfax County, Virginia State/USA and participated in awareness campaigns prepared by the Ministry of National Guard in Jazan City
