      Dr. Ahmad A. Alanazi is an Assistant Professor of audiology and speech pathology. Dr. Alanazi’s degrees include a doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from University of Arkansas for Medical sciences (UAMS), a Master in Audiology (M.Aud.) from Flinders University, Australia, and a Bachelor (B.Sc.) in Speech and Hearing Rehabilitation from King Saud University, Saudi Arabia. His research mainly focuses on early hearing detection and intervention, simulation learning environments, and interprofessional education (IPE). Dr. Alanazi holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and he is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. He is also certified as an IPE facilitator from the Office of Interprofessional Education, UAMS and a vestibular rehabilitation provider from the American Institute of Balance. He has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and participated in various national and international conferences. He has had three grants funded. Dr. Alanazi published a study titled “Audiology and speech-pathology practice in Saudi Arabia” in which he explained how both professions are still in their infancy in Saudi Arabia and need great efforts to achieve better education and practice. One of his main academic objectives is to cooperate and collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders to advance both professions in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Alanazi enjoys playing and watching soccer, travel, and poetry.
