  • Currently works in King Abdulaziz Medical City Riyadh as a Consultant in Intensive Care department and as well as a pulmonologist effective July 2012. Associate Dean, Academic & Student Affairs, College of Applied Medical Sciences, KSAU-HS.
  • Has a special interest in education and in transmitting knowledge and experience to junior trainees. Teaches and trains junior staff and students in the principles and practices of critical care and in the field of pulmonology.
  • Participates in ongoing research in the ICU department and builds new ideas of research.
  • Supervises residents in their research projects.
  • Maintains highest clinical standards in the management of patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
  • Participates in the development and expansion of critical care services.
  • Is responsible for ensuring active participation continuing professional development.
  • Carries out reviews and investigations on drugs, equipment, physiological and pharmacological matters relevant to Intensive Care.
  • Fulfills the requirements of the Saudi Council for Health Specialties with regard to continuing medical education.
  • Participates in Departmental Meetings and in conferences, workshops and symposiums to keep pace with evolving trends.
  • Plays a crucial role in the management of hospital emergencies and patient related emergencies.
  • Takes a lead role in the management reviews, strategic planning and performance review and optimization.
