REST 316 (Respiratory Anatomy and Physiology) is a basic foundation for theory and application for the students of the Respiratory Therapy Program in CAMS. The course provides the student with an in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the respiratory and renal systems necessary to function as a competent Respiratory Therapist. Emphasis is placed on static and dynamic characteristics of pulmonary and vascular systems, oxygen and carbon dioxide transport, ventilation-perfusion relationship, acid-base balance and regulation and control of respiration.
