Students Participation in the 5th Conference of the Saudi Society for Respiratory Care

In the continuity of activities at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, students of the Respiratory Therapy Program participated recently in the Fifth Conference of the Saudi Society for Respiratory Care. Four research papers were submitted to represent King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences.

The research papers were as followed:

  1. “Frequent Emergency Department Visits and Guardians’ Level of Awareness of Asthma in the Pediatric Population”.
    Done by: Abdullah Nawash Al Anazi, Abdullah Mayof Al Anazi, Hassan Abu Nurah, and Lafi Al Olayan.
  2. “Non-Prescribed Antibiotics Consumption in Children in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia”.
    Done by: Faisal Al Mudhaibery, Ahmad Al Mamary, Bandar Faqihi, Abdulwahab Al Ahmari, and Taha Ismaeil.
  3. “Proper Use of Endotracheal tube with continuous aspiration of subglotittic secretion: The important of Health Professional knowledge and awareness”.
    Done by: Mohammed Al-Saba’Ani, Rami Al-Khaled, Dr. Abdulalim Al Atassi, and Dr. Saleh Al Oraibi.
  4. “Reliability of Arabic Version of Asthma Awareness Questionnaire”. has achieved the third place 
    Done by: Abdullah Nawash Al Anazi, Abdullah Mayof Al Anazi, Hassan Abu Nurah, and Lafi Al Olayan.

The conference lasted for two days followed by advanced workshops for ventilator and scientific lectures specialized in developments in Respiratory Therapy. The coordinator of research program at the College of Applied Medical Sciences Prof. Dr. Ali Karar Osman stated about the participation of the four groups of students congratulated them for winning the third place. The College was honored by their achievement and wishes them further success in the near future.
