 Dr. Ahmed A. Alanazi, Assistant Professor of Audiology and Speech Pathology, and his team were the second winner of the track "Wearable Devices for Health Care" at MIT Hacking Medicine held at Princess Noura Bint Abdulrahman University

from November 29 to December 1, 2018. Their project, which will be supported by Badir program, was about designing an innovative mask used for prevention and identification of some types of lung infections especially in huge events, such as Al-Hajj. This hackathon was organized by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology in partnership with Massachusetts Institute of Technology and was one of the largest healthcare hackathons in the world in which 1000 competitors and 400 healthcare professionals, engineers and digital health communication specialists participated in 10 tracks.
