Appointment of Dr. Mohammed Al Mutairi as Dean, College of Applied Medical Sciences

 Dr. Al Mutairi is a graduate of King Saud University, obtaining his MBBS in 1996 He joined the Pediatric Residency Training Program at King Fahad Hospital, KAMC Riyadh(1997-2001), and obtained both his Saudi and Arab Board Certificates in General Pediatrics in 2002.  He was appointed as Assistant Consultant, Pediatric Emergency Department, King Abdulaziz Medical City-Riyadh (KAMC-R).  In pursuit of his specialty training, he completed a Pediatric Emergency Fellowship (2003-2005) and a Pediatric Trauma Fellowship (2005-2006) both at the Children Emergency Health Sciences Center (HSC), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  On his return to the Kingdom, he was appointed as Consultant, Pediatric Emergency, KAMC-R (2006- Present) and as Director, Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship Program, KAMC-R (2011- Present).

Dr. Al Mutairi was credentialed as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine, College of Medicine, Riyadh (COM-R) in December 2007.  He has been teaching and participating in all academic activities at COM-R and COAMS-R.  Dr. Al Mutairi was appointed as Director, Emergency Medical Services Program, COAMS-R, KSAU-HS (2011-2013), as Chairman, Emergency Medical Services Program, COAMS-R, KSAU-HS (June 2013- November 2014)  and as Associate Dean, Academic & Student Affairs, COAMS-R, KSAU-HS (November 2014-December 2015).  He is a member of various committees in KAMC-R and KSAU-HS and has been active in research with presentations and publications.
